The tremendous power of Fasting and Prayer

So it’s another year again and I am truly grateful to God for the new year. I pray for everyone reading this
, May God bless you and keep you, may God smile on you and gift with all your hear desires and may the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and make you prosper in all areas of your life, Amen

What is Fasting and Prayers?
Fasting is when we deliberately deny ourselves food and drink temporarily because we hunger and thirst for more of God and for spiritual empowerment. Usually, each fast has a specific spiritual purpose. The idea behind fasting is to Identify the need for which you fast, if you have no plan or purpose, then it's not fasting; it's just going hungry strike for couple of days.
Why we should fast?
Fasting is done to increase your spiritual capability. Is fasting mandatory you may ask? Well how badly do you want to see the physical manifestation of God’s glory?  How badly do you want to know God?
Jesus fasted for 40 days before his ministry began, Elijah fasted for 40 days, and Moses also fasted for 40 days. So why shouldn’t you fast as a believer? Do you know there are some circumstances in your life that wouldn’t change unless you fast and pray? The disciples of Jesus love God, followed Jesus, but couldn’t cast out a demon at one point in their ministry. Read the below story.
There was a man who had an epileptic son, the sickness was so severe that sometimes he falls into the fire and often into the water, but the disciples of Jesus could not heal him, read the full story from (Matthew 17: 15-16, 18-19 & 21).
15 “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. 16 So I brought him to your disciples, but they could not cure him.” 16 So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.”18 And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour.19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” 21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”
There are some things you want God to change in your life, but you also have to be willing to pay a price. So if you can’t overcome the power of your stomach, how can you overcome the power a demon? If you can’t overcome the power of your stomach, how can you overcome the challenges you are facing?

What is the price you are willing to pay to see that challenge go away? Make a decision this year not to eat yourself away but increase your spiritual capacity by fasting and prayers.
